Kajal is something without which I do not go out. I simply cannot live without my kajal. I have tried almost all kajal. I am on the constant search for a good Kajal which doesn’t smudge and stays for a long time. As I wear Kajal on a daily basis, it is better to use an herbal preparation as it won’t irritate the eyes. This review is about Himalaya Herbal Kajal.
Enriched with Damask Rose and Triphala, Himalaya’s herbal Kajal combines traditional ingredients like Almond Oil and Castor Oil with Damask Rose to cool and nourish eyes. Triphala, a unique herbal composite of three power-packed berries, adds luster, making eyes look bright and attractive.
- Almond Oil nourishes lashes and also acts as an anti-aging agent for the eyelids.
- Camphor aids in retaining eye moisture, which helps keep eyes hydrated.
- Castor Oil is an emollient or skin softener and also acts as a protective barrier between the skin and harsh environmental conditions.
- Damask Rose is known for its cooling properties, which help alleviate eye strain.
- Triphala, an herbal concoction made from the Indian Gooseberry, Beleric Myrobalan fruits, is a well-known eye tonic. Its anti-inflammatory properties help reduce eye redness and swelling.
PRICE: Rs.120 for 2.7 g.
MY VIEW ON HIMALAYA HERBAL KAJAL:
This Kajal comes in a sturdy plastic packaging, like a roll type lipstick. The Kajal does not get wasted inside the lid like other Kajals. It is like a heap. The consistency is very thick. It is not like a pencil Kajal, hence there will be no wastage due to sharpening. It is pointed for a better precise application. It will not get blunt over constant usage.
The kajal contains almond oil and castor oil which makes this kajal creamy and smooth to apply. Camphor provides a cooling effect to the eyes. The smell of the kajal is hardly noticeable. Even though this kajal is herbal, it does not contain irritating fragrance.
I apply this Kajal on my lower lash line. It did not smudge then. The next time, I tried applying it a little below my lower lash line. It smudged very badly within just 2 hours and I ended up looking like a racoon. I experimented this kajal on my eyelid and as expected it did smudge when rubbed even by mistake. It is not waterproof and smudges very badly. This kajal can only be used as a traditional kajal on the lower lash line. You cannot use it as eyeliner at any cost. It will make you look ugly and drunken.
It is very easy to remove. Just a wet washcloth is sufficient to get rid of this Kajal. You do not need fancy cleansing milk or makeup removers. I do like this Kajal as it provides an instant cooling effect to tired eyes. It is herbal so I don’t want to lose this one. However, I plan to use it only at home, for simple home functions or to go somewhere nearby. If you want to be benefitted by a good herbal kajal, at an affordable price do try this one.
